It's those moments when you hang around in a room full of friends, where you gasp for breath between each laugh. It's those moments where you get high off just breathing in so deep, you feel your lungs getting cold. For a second, that split second, you don't care. You don't care about school, about parents, about money, about rules, or broken hearts. Who you care about are the kids sitting next to you. 'Cause it's all we really need, isn't it? Those kids next to you. Yeah, the ones who make you feel invincible, even at your weakest points.
Tumblr is that indie band that's been hanging around for the last couple of years.
You really like them and all and you want all your friends to hear this great find. At first they’ll be very snobbish of it and tell you they’re happy with the pop bands they’re currently listening to. Then, after some time they start noticing it because a lot of other people they know started telling them to listen to it. Next thing you know, that indie band is on a top 10 list on MTV or some stupid “music” channel and get signed by a major recording label. Then they make a lot of changes — like replace the drummer or bassist — that you really hate but couldn’t really completely ignore them because they’re still a really great band.
